Happy Wednesday!
So I was thinking. It’s a little less than a month until the big launch of The Mage in Black. Hard to believe it’s been almost a year since Red-Headed Stepchild came out.
A lot has happened since then. Let’s review, shall we?
2009
-Deaths: Marilyn Chambers (porn star), Bea Arthur, Dom Deluise, Jack Kemp, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson (on the same day), Walter Cronkite, Frank McCourt, John Hughes (sob), Les Paul, Ted Kennedy, Patrick Swayze (he’s like the wind), Brittany Murphy.
ETA: Jordan reminded me that I forgot to list Billy Mays in this list. Mea culpa.
-Major Events: Obama wins a Nobel, H1N1 sparks SWINEPOCALYPSE predictions, global economic FAIL, Polanski comeuppance, Fort Hood shootings, Tiger got declawed, troops deployed to Afghanistan, Christmas plane bombing attempt, Haiti quake, Snowpacalypse 2010 and the Olympics (ice dancing!). ETA: Shamwow dude got arrested for shenanigans with a lady of the night. Who’s dirty now, guy? Huh?
Wheh! I don’t know about you but that’s a lot to process. It’s no wonder you might have forgotten a few plot points from Red-Headed Stepchild. Fear not, my friends. I’m here for you.
I’m officially declaring March “Gonna Re-Read Red” month–GRRR for short.
Don’t groan. I know there are a lot of fantastic books out right now (see my last post for a few suggestions). So, here’s the deal: You don’t actually have to reread Red-Headed Stepchild. Instead, I’ll be posting summaries of the book over the month. Not excerpts. Summaries. Think of it as Urban Fantasy Cliff’s Notes. Or Red-headed Stepchild for Dummies.
It’s possible I may vlog this. It’s also possible there will be (really bad) acting or even interpretive dance. You’ll have to stop by to be sure.
I’ll also be opening the floor to questions from you, dear readers, which I’ll answer in the vlogs. Don’t worry, I’ll give you warning before I record the posts so you’ll have plenty of times to submit questions.
Also? There will be prizes.

Great idea. Just reading this made a few things from the book pop into mind, but summaries would be great! I always wish I could re-read before the next book comes out but never have the time.
